Zoom sessions, men's breakfast gatherings

1. How Short is Your Fuse? – Anger as a father is rarely just about the moment at hand. More often, it’s tied to deeper wounds and a false self we’ve built to protect ourselves. But Jesus isn’t just interested in behavior modification—He wants to heal what’s underneath. This would be unpacking the first third of my Base Camp curriculum, which is also the most abstract, in the call to “Stalk the Beast."

2. Spiritual Cartography: Navigating “The Wall” – Every serious journey of faith eventually runs into “the Wall”—a season where what once worked no longer does. It’s tempting to see it as failure or a reason to turn back. But what if it’s actually an invitation to go further in? This would be based on this article I wrote. *Fun fact, I shared this with John Mark Comer on a retreat, and he has taken some of my points from this article and quoted them on a few podcasts.

3. Becoming a Person of Love: Spiritual Formation for Busy Dads – The disciplines of the Christian life aren’t just checkboxes—they’re pathways to becoming a person of love. How do we integrate them into already full lives without them becoming one more thing on the to-do list?

1. Base Camp: A Father-Son Formation Experience
This 4-6 hour seminar is designed for fathers (though not limited to them) who are raising sons between the ages of 5-13. The goal is to equip men to guide their sons through this formative stage with intentionality. We’ll unpack 90-120 minutes of core teaching, engage in process groups for deeper reflection, and share a meal together. Expect practical tools, honest conversation, and a vision for fatherhood that moves beyond just “getting through” these years to truly shaping them.
2. Family as Formation: Parenting with Purpose
Building on Justin Earley’s Habits of the Household, this seminar is for both moms and dads looking to bring more intentionality into their family culture. We’ll explore the “Set Up Camp” framework from Base Camp, focusing on three key elements: messages, moments, and milestones—the rhythms and touchpoints that shape your child’s identity and faith. More than just raising kids, this seminar will highlight how parenting forms us and how we can tie our home’s culture into a shared mission and vision.
3. Relational Spirituality: How Attachment Shapes Our Families
This seminar dives into the deep connection between relational health and spiritual formation. We’ll explore the role of attachment filters—how they shape the way we connect with God and others—and take time to reflect on how they show up in our own families. We’ll also discuss practical ways to heal early attachment wounds and examine Todd’s four-part framework on relational and spiritual growth. Expect a mix of personal reflection, group discussion, and actionable insights for building healthier, more connected families.
